Keno Payouts and How Pay Tables Work

Keno payouts depend on two things: how many spots you pick and how many of them land among the 20 numbers drawn. Every game prints its own pay table, and the same catch can pay very differently from one keno payout table to the next. Always check the pay table to see what your ticket is worth. BitPlay is a social online casino giving access to platforms such as Game Vault and Milky Way, where keno titles run.

What Sets a Keno Payout

Three things determine your keno payout: the spots you pick, the catches you make, and your bet amount. Spots are the numbers you choose, and catches are the ones you picked that get drawn.

More spots can lead to bigger top prizes, but they also make it much harder to hit all your numbers. For example, a 10-spot ticket can pay thousands of times your bet if you hit all 10, while a 4-spot ticket pays less but wins more often. If you are new, check the keno rules guide for a full overview.

Keno Payout Chart by Spots

This keno payout chart is from the Keno game in the Vegas X lobby on BitPlay, captured on 19 October 2026. You can pick between 3 and 10 numbers, and the table shows what each result pays for each spot count:

Reading the 4 Spot Keno Payout Chart

In the 4-spot row, two catches pay 3, three catches pay 36, and all four pay 300. One catch pays nothing, which is common since it happens in about 43% of rounds.

Other games have their own payout amounts. Fireball Keno, for example, shows a separate table in-game.

A 10-Spot Table in Credits

Keno Universe, another game on Vegas X, displays its pay table in credits based on your bet. For a bet of 0.05, a 10-spot ticket pays:

  • 4 catches: 0.10 (2 times the bet)
  • 5 catches: 0.35 (7 times)
  • 6 catches: 0.75 (15 times)
  • 7 catches: 2.50 (50 times)
  • 8 catches: 10.50 (210 times)
  • 9 catches: 50.00 (1,000 times)
  • 10 catches: 500.00 (10,000 times)

Zero to three catches pay nothing on that ticket.

Keno Odds for Every Catch

Keno odds are based on simple math. The board has 80 numbers, and 20 are drawn each round. The more spots you pick, the harder it is to catch them all.

Spots picked

Chance of catching all of them

1 1 in 4
2 1 in 16.6
3 1 in 72
4 1 in 326
5 1 in 1,551
6 1 in 7,753
7 1 in 40,979
8 1 in 230,115
9 1 in 1,380,688
10 1 in 8,911,711

Keno odds chart: 20 of 80 numbers drawn.

So the odds of hitting 7 out of 7 are about 1 in 40,979. The 4-spot ticket shows how the results spread out in practice:

  • 0 catches: 30.8% of rounds
  • 1 catch: 43.3%
  • 2 catches: 21.3%
  • 3 catches: 4.3%
  • 4 catches: 0.31%

How the Math Works

The odds are calculated using a standard formula for drawing numbers without replacement. For 4 out of 4, you divide the number of ways to pick 4 numbers from the 20 drawn (4,845) by the number of ways to pick 4 from all 80 (1,581,580). This works out to about 1 in 326.

Why Pay Tables Differ

State lottery keno uses pay tables set by the lottery for scheduled draws. In electronic keno, each game can set its own table, and some games add extra features to the basic draw.

Vegas X Keno is one example. If you match a certain number of spots, you can buy two extra balls for the same amount as your original bet.

Hot Keno, also on Vegas X, gives you a red-or-black card round after a win. If you guess the color right, you double your winnings, up to five times. If you guess wrong, you lose that win. Titles with names such as Powerball or Superball add their own features, explained in their help screens.

A simple way to judge a pay table is to compare the payout to the odds of winning:

  • On the 4-spot row above, all four catches pay 300 against odds of about 1 in 326.
  • On the Keno Universe 10-spot ticket, all ten pay 10,000 times the bet against odds of about 1 in 8.9 million.

A Quick Pay Table Check

Before you play a round, open the game’s pay table and check these four things:

  1. Top prize: what the full catch pays for your spot count.
  2. Zero catches: whether the table pays anything for catching none. In games such as Hot Keno, the table updates as you mark numbers.
  3. Balance: which spot count gives a spread of smaller wins you are comfortable with.
  4. Extra features: how extra balls or multipliers work, and what they cost.

Keno is entertainment, and every round can cost you money. Decide your limits first and keep a set budget for each session. Play is for adults 21 and over.

Keno Payouts FAQ

What are the keno payouts for 4 spots?

Keno payouts for 4 spots depend on each game's pay table. In Vegas X Keno, two catches pay 3, three pay 36, and all four pay 300. The odds of catching all four are about 1 in 326, and you get nothing for one catch.

How many numbers do you need to win at keno?

How many numbers you need to win depends on your spot count and the game’s pay table. Many tables start paying at about half your spots, like two catches on a 4-spot ticket or four catches on a 10-spot ticket in the Vegas X games mentioned above.

What are the odds of hitting 7 out of 7?

The odds of hitting 7 out of 7 are about 1 in 40,979 when 20 of 80 numbers are drawn. That is roughly 125 times harder than catching all four on a 4-spot ticket. Four of four hits about once every 326 rounds.

Do all keno games pay the same?

Not all keno games pay the same. Each game has its own pay table, and some offer extra balls or multipliers. Check each game's pay table in the help screen before you play, and compare the payouts to the odds for each catch.
